As a new user, with little or no experience of Microsoft Access, the topics covered on this course introduce you to the main concepts involved in creating and maintaining a simple relational database.

What do I need to know before attending?
It is assumed only that you have a basic knowledge and understanding of the Windows environment.

Adding and editing records.

Creating tables.
Setting field attributes.
Importing from Excel.

Relational Databases
What they are and why relational databases are useful.
How data stored in different tables can be related.

Queries
Using SELECT Queries to build new record sets.
Sorting and basic filtering.
Deriving new information in queries.
Combining data from different tables through a query.

Forms
Creating forms with and without the Access Forms Wizard.
Using queries and tables as the basis for forms.
Introducing object properties within forms to change data and display characteristics.
